Poetry, as Ekaki
I write poems in Hindi under the pen name एकाकी — Ekaki, ‘the one who is alone’. My first book is on its way.
Kaivalya — A Dialogue with the Self
Poems by Ekaki ·
Twenty-four poems in Hindi, each paired with a verse of the Kaivalya Upanishad. The voice is a dialogue — a restless ego and a quieter self, teacher and student — and the book follows one night’s question, ‘Who am I?’, to the morning when the questioner discovers he was the answer.
Three fragments
Short excerpts, with my own free English glosses.
I too do not know who I am.
But I want to know — desperately.
Letting go means —
loosening the grip.
Not things, but the attachment to things.
But you are no longer the one
who set out.
You are the one who returned.
